When a Tesla driver experienced a medical emergency while on the road, he called his son, the vehicle's other authorized user, for help.

When a Tesla driver experienced a medical emergency while on the road, he called his son, the vehicle's other authorized user, for help. Using the Tesla app, his son was able to remotely reroute his father’s vehicle to the nearest hospital. With Full Self-Driving (Supervised) activated, the Tesla vehicle was able to navigate him there safely.*

*Full Self-Driving (Supervised), or FSD (Supervised), requires the driver to remain attentive and ready to take over at any time. The vehicle is not autonomous. Currently available via subscription. If you or anyone experiences symptoms of a heart attack or other medical emergency while operating a vehicle, pull over safely, stop the vehicle and call 911 immediately. Tesla vehicles and FSD (Supervised) are not a substitute for emergency medical services. Prioritize professional medical response through 911 in all emergencies. Only authorized Tesla app users with vehicle access can change the navigation destination.
